Intensive Outpatient Program
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a coordinated, intensive, comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment for an individual who can maintain some ability to fulfill family, student, or work activities. This level of care is designed for two populations of clients. Primarily, Intensive Outpatient Treatment is generally the final level of care an individual would transition to from Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment, and sometimes even Residential Treatment. Our rehab carefully screens clients being transferred from other rehab programs to ensure one's Stage of Change is synchronized with IOP. If eligible, clients will continue to attend IOP sessions 3 days/nights per week for 3 hours per session. The sessions include family and individual therapy and focus on an individual's goals and objectives to make his or her final transition to the community.
The purpose of intensive outpatient services is to provide essential educational and treatment components while allowing clients to apply their newly acquired skills within their own environments and without daily supervision and structured as provided in higher care levels. Generally, treatment services are delivered during the day, before or after work or school, in the evening, or on weekends.
Secondly, Intensive Outpatient Treatment is designed for individuals who have not experienced higher care levels, and have been assessed for a less restrictive service level. These individuals are usually working or attending college, have families, and responsibilities. However, their substance use is beginning to gradually progress and they need some form of treatment to prevent the progression.
Faith By The Sea provides flexibility in selecting IOP time frames that meet the needs of persons served.
